Any SEO worth their shirt on their back would need to look a little deeper than just PR.

But I did go to a blog I contribute on and was shocked at what I saw a PR of 5, something I have been trying to get for years. The blog is not even a year old has 91 backlinks in Google compared to my 190ish links, I was seriously freaked out. But it seems I am not alone in this confusion thank god.

That’s my goal, not the figure showing in a small green bar.

Negativity is toward the way Google is treating the webmaster community in general, and the SEO community in particular. At a micro level many of the Googlers are fantastically helpful, but at the macro level Google has has lost the plot IMO.

And what’s the chances that youtube.com got a hand job?
