I remember us having a chat over a beer a couple of years back, and you being really peeved that conversion optimization was basically being ignored by most folks. Now that people have finally started waking up, do you think they've woken up enough, or is this just turning into another of the many SEO fad vehicles overall?

Well CRO isn't for everyone – it requires traffic and much more competence than SEO.
Suffice to say it's not a boiler room activity.
