Thinking more about the Ebay /bhp/ issue, and I remembered a fantastic blog from years ago called Blue Hat Seo by a guy called Eli who specialised in large-scale automated SEO systems (which weren't quite white hat).  

One of his more popular posts was about an automated system which updated both on-page attributes as well as link anchor text based on search queries. If memory serves me right part of his system was a large network of automated sites through which he could control inbound link anchor text.

Got me thinking whether Ebay might have done something similar here with all their subs, and instead of these being "BlackHatPages" might they be "Blue Hat Pages"?
