OK ... so it is normal for your PWAs to be visible through your Google+ Profile.

But, the privacy settings should not be changed. Does it still appear that happened (at least in some situations?)

Or, is it just that an automated post was created when someone was recently tagged in the photo?

I still struggle with understanding the relationship between PicasaWebAlbums and Google+ Photos. Google+ Photos have always been accessible through PicasaWebAlbums. Users with Google+ Profiles, who have never used PWA directly, are often unaware of this.

However, I was not aware that content published through PWA would automatically be included in your Google+ Photos. But, as they more closely integrate Google+ with everything else Google, it's difficult to keep up with the changes, especially relating to products I'm not that familiar with.

Perhaps you will want to consider +mentioning the [Google+ Help] page to see if you can get some clarification about the issues?

Or check with the regulars in the Picasa Help Forum to see what their observations have been?

I did not look at the Photos tab, I just saw a post in my usual GooglePlus stream, but yes, I looked now in Richard's Photos tab and there are some absolutely superb photo albums at a wedding (it seems from two years ago, most photos with no face-tags). It is your fault Richard I would not have looked if you would not have told us about it, but they are really wonderful photos and such a special happy atmosphere

In fact these were albums that were previously on Picasa Web. I don't mind so much these being public (since they were public on Picasa), but I mind very much Google deciding they need to make automated posts about this in my stream. In fact I do sort of mind that these have been moved over here – I would never have used Picasa if I had known then that Google would move things into another product which for me has a totally different purpose.

I saw them in my GooglePlus stream, an album posted by you Public, most of the photos were not face-tagged. Absolutely fantastic Sorry, I could not resist looking at them, they were wonderful. If you would not have written about it, I would have been convinced they were meant to be public, they were great photos and really nothing to worry about, other than, well, you did not want them public. I cannot see them now, I assume you un-public-ed them? I hope you do not mind that I looked, but in this cold cloudy snowy day it was great to see the happy photos

Hi CHristina - yep they were public and seemed to relate to people tagged in photos as they even published photos of a friend's wedding where he was tagged.

I'm sure there are some settings hidden away, but there should be some bloody big pop-up requesting permission before this happens. by-the-by it all occurred after Picasa updated to latest version. No notifications of any description. Honestly terrible.

I think there are some settings not to allow tagging? I suppose there is an explanation somewhere of why or how it happened, like a combination of settings in Picasa and GooglePlus(?)

Just deleted another one that was published purely due to people being tagged. This is just crazy. Google+ Picasa integration blows donkeys.

I deleted the ones that were published and made public. It looks like it published any image where I was tagged by the facial recognition in Picasa.

Regardless it was an epic fail.
