Best Online Publication – The Irish Times
As the (absent) sponsor of the IWA08 Best Online Publication category, I’d like to congratulate The Irish Times on winning the award.
I’m sure this will come as a fantastic validation of the new site, and all the hard development work that must have gone into creating the new online home of the paper.
Just a real shame I couldn’t attend on the night, but from all reports it was a fantastic spectacle for the attendees and winners. And of course it’s all down to one person – well done Damien on returning some credibility to the Irish website awards scene.
It was a great night Richard and shame the winner (irish times) did not turn up.
For another set of credible awards check out the Net Visionaries

Hey Keith
I owe you a mail shortly.
While writing the post it dawned on me that it could be construed that I meant in some way that Net Visionary wasn’t a decent award. What I really intended was that IWA was a credible website award. Maybe wrongly I think of Net Visionary as more about the people than the websites?
Anyhows – twas a real shame I didn’t make it on the night, but then again I’d have been left standing there Billy-No-Mates with the award I was sponsoring as the winner wasn’t there to accept the award
Best rgds, and hope all is well in Eire
