Robots.txt is a very blunt tool, and you should never use it to control indexation. This is especially the case when you're blocking URLs that are linked to either internally or external.

  1. How do you feel about the "drone robots.txt:" noflyzone.org ? It's interesting to compare how that would work with the "website robots.txt" :)

  2. I hasn't seen that before. Very daft idea though. Many drone manufacturers
    have the legislated data like airports, airfields and fight locations
    already. Trying to geofence properties won't work, and most likely would
    create safety issues if it was implemented. But hey, here in Thailand they
    want to ban drones altogether.
