The hyphenated domains aren’t so prominent as they were associated with spammers. More than one or two hyphens seems to send a strong negative signal to the search engines.

I think you’ll have a hard time finding domains with more than a single hyphen in SERPs.

ps – welcome home Michele :)

Others, such as Moniker hold several big auctions throughout the year with smaller auctions / sales ongoing.

How do you actually list a domain for auction… that site is quite hard to navigate around…

Anyone actually sold any domains for interesting sums of money lately?

I wonder how much random traffic that Dublin Ireland dot COM gets. And how long would it take to get back the $75k.

Although I plan to develop them as they are worth more.

The ex-boss has a couple of hundred nice domains, ones that he snapped up over 7 years. Some are worth a gold mine.

I’m sure he’s got a few of his own also though.

A good domain name is worth its weight in gold.

John has some very nice domains that he’s been sitting on for years, though I wouldn’t be overly interested in **ireland** domains – it’s too restrictive in terms of market

Of course if run well I’m sure the returns could be equally good.

Nice if you have a few old domains from yonks ago that cost you nothing more than the renewals…

What do you reckon – there must be a few Irish folk holding onto very valuable domains without realising at all? I’m thinking some of those real old school types that haven’t updated their sites in 6 or 7 years. I’m sure JMCC must know one or two from his crawling travels.

Some very tasty domains are still up for grabs for less than their real value!
